Today is starting out as a great day!
Went out for another test run to see how my ribs are coming along. Today marks the three week anniversary of my first and probably last wake boarding experience. I was hoping for a 2 mile easy run (same plan as I had on Monday), but my ribs felt so good that I ended up doing 2.5 miles. I was not a blazing fast run ( 10mm ), but the best part was the lack of pain in my ribs.
I actually slept well last night. I took a couple of Motrin before bed and that seems to have kept the tenderness in my ribs from waking me. I did not toss and turn, which made my ribs not sore to start the day (the way they have been for the last 3 weeks).
I'm hoping that this is a sign that my ribs are healed enough to start training. The timing is great, as I'm starting the Sprint-to-Olympic training plan on Sunday.
