Time to start writing down my experiences on my triathlon journey. I have taken the plunge and signed up for Oceanside 70.3, with just a short duathlon and two sprint triathlons under my belt.
The most challenging aspects of this journey are to remain injury free ( I do not have a good track record here ), and time management. With a full time job, a wonderful wife (who is currently training for a marathon) and two growing boys, finding the time to train 10-15 hours a week will be difficult.
On the injury side, I am finally (crossing fingers) getting over the bruised ribs I suffered attempting to wake-board. I've done two rides in the two weeks since the injury, but have yet to try swimming or running. I'm planning on running a nice easy 2 miles in the morning, and hopefully the ribs can handle the movement / jarring.
Until next time.
Chris
