So I went out and tried running again today. It was better than I feared, but less than what I was hoping for.
I had hoped to do an easy 2 mile run to start my post-bruised ribs running, but I only ended up going 1-1/4 miles. The ribs are so much better than they were 2 weeks ago, but there is still a constant pain in my side. From the various articles that I've read on the web, most people report that starting back too soon delayed their time to full recovery. It was this track-record that made me turn around early and not push it. I'll try another 2 miles on Wednesday, but want to make sure I'm not taking one step forward and two steps back on the road to recovery.
